National Geographic Traveler, Smart Traveler section, "Slow Down - We're Movin' Too Fast", by Margaret Loftus, January 2008. "Pauline Kenny was roaming through a roomful of Rubens paintings at Munich's Alte Pinakothek when it dawned on her. "Must-sees" just weren't her cup of tea. She and her husband had been traveling through Europe, following the guidebook. "We'd go to a new place and work our way down the list," she explains. But it wasn't until that moment in a crowded museum that Kenny knew she'd much prefer to see the world on her own terms and at her own pace. That is, slowly."

We had a great weekend (April 12 - 13) at the Atlanta Vacation Home Expo and the Atlanta Travel Expo, presented by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Pauline Kenny, founder of Slow Travel, and Kathy Wood, from The Luberon Experience, presented "Slow Travel ... We're moving too fast" (emerging vacation rental lifestyle that's spreading throughout Europe and worldwide). Gail Hecko of Gail's Great Escapes joined Pauline and Kathy at the Slow Travel booth for the weekend. We met lots of travelers and had fun talking with them about Slow Travel!
